Real wood.Real smoke.Real barbeque.

Brisket, pulled pork, sausage and chicken, smoked every day over seasoned oak on Route 50 in Aldie. When it's gone, it's gone.

Wednesday to Sunday11am to 7pm, or until we sell out

Smoked today. Gone when it's gone.

Every meat comes off the smoker the day you eat it, and we never serve it a second day. So we sell out, sometimes early. Call ahead or order online to hold yours.

From a Jeep to Route 50

  1. 2010

Ken Soohoo, a first-generation American and Marine veteran, builds a smoker on a trailer and tows it behind his Jeep to local farm markets.

  2. 2014

The lines outgrow the trailer. Ken rebuilds an old food truck and rolls it out in the Middleburg Christmas Parade.

  3. 2017

Ken and the team gut an old tea house on the John Mosby Highway in Aldie and build the restaurant.

Ken and his brother Bing built the smoker too: 1,000 gallons, four bays, and a firebox that goes through a cord of seasoned oak every week.

Come early, stay late.

Inside it's barn wood from local farms, work by local artisans, and iron foundry plates made more than a hundred years ago for the Hudson Coal Company of Scranton. At the bar, beer, wine and spirits from local makers: ask what's on today.

Feeding a crowd?

Graduation parties, school banquets, church events, office lunches, block parties, holidays, or just a big family: catering is one of our gigs.

Plan on half a pound of meat for each adult.
